Sarah Harper discovered her passion for handmade soap and skincare products 7 years ago when her skin became increasingly more sensitive to commercial products. With a beginners soap making book and lots of experimentation she was soon making soap for friends and family as gifts. Two years later she left a stressful city job to make soap full-time and to explore her other passion for sewing and vintage sewing machines. Her soap is still made in her kitchen by hand using centuries old traditional techniques and all natural ingredients and her family all get involved in the business. It is important to me to know exactly what goes into my products and on my skin and that of my families, the only way I could ever be really sure was to make it myself. Sarah also makes one of a kind patchwork quilts and home accessories using recycled fabric and old treadle and hand crank sewing machines. |
