Rosalind graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London in 2007 with a 1st Class Degree in Ceramic Design and has since been working as a Freelance Ceramic Designer and Maker from her studio in North London. Rosalind uses porcelain paper clay to hand build her sculptural vessels, jewellery range and unique box framed porcelain shards
Rosalind is influenced by her own detailed photographs, which focus upon the close examination of surface textures and patterns found within natural forms. She seeks constantly to investigate new and alternative ways of treating and working with the clay surface, to create unconventional surface designs and textures. Rosalind exploits and manipulates the physical properties of the clay body, pushing the material to its limits in order to create fragile forms with highly decorative and intriguing textural surfaces
Rosalind's work has been exhibited in a number of exhibitions and Trade Fairs across London including at the Lethaby Gallery; Holborn, the Beldam Gallery; Brunel University, Handmade in Britain; Chelsea, Candid Galleries; Islington, New Designers; Islington and Pulse; Earls Court .
